Why we started Pahar?
Our research in tribal communities alongside rural areas found that the inclination towards girl’s education and supportive environment was not the first preference of many families. The gender discrimination faced by the girls was evident from the Gender equality standpoint. The situation was no different at community level as communities and tribes were engrossed by socio-economic issues, old communal traditions, and many other regressive social practices.
Through a base-up approach involving community level awareness, capacity building and cohesive action, we aim to create a long term impact for communities.
Our Mission
To ensure better health, equitable and quality education and livelihood opportunities in the community and work in harmony with the community and government bodies while promoting constitutional values and making proper use of local resources.

Our Vision
To build a healthy, educated and exploitation free society, where there is justice for all and all can live with peace and dignity.
